Here's what caught my eye in Porto

You start a business, and all of a sudden you’ve not taken a proper holiday for 5 years!

We rekindled our love for travel with a trip to Porto in Portugal, and I didn’t realise how much I needed it.

5 days and 40 miles later, I think we walked almost the entire city and the coastline - here’s what caught my eye along the way.

Now I remember the stressy joys of:

frantically weighing a suitcase 5 minutes before leaving the house

hitting a road closure on the way to the airport

terminal beer and burritos

that wobbly feeling in your stomach as you leave the ground

late taxis

new city smells

ordering food in a language Duoligo has done its best to prepare you for

tipsy 10pm ice cream as you walk the streets in a summer dress

dancing with strangers at sunset

marvelling at the art-filled architecture and finally

arriving back in a truly Autumnal UK

I’ll not be leaving it so long again.

I’ve already got next years trip to Ireland in the diary - I’ve never been before and whilst I’m super excited, I’d love to plan a sunny (restful) holiday abroad too.

Please send me your favourite relaxing destinations and your Irish top-tips, we’ll be doing a little road trip and I cannot wait!
